Artisan goods with a rustic charm

Wildflour Cottage Bakery is a charming, home-based bakery founded by me, Marcy Coalter. This was a culmination of a 25-year passion for baking with and for my family and working with my hands. This is a place where the warmth of freshly baked bread and pastries meets the beauty of a simple, intentional life.

WCB specializes in sourdough breads, treats, and sweets. Beyond that, it is a haven for homespun treasures, soon to be offering everything from beeswax creations and farm-fresh eggs to garden vegetables and cut flowers. Each item reflects a commitment to crafting and cultivating with care, bringing a touch of rustic elegance and heartfelt connection to every home.

Rooted in family

Inspired by the desire to care for my family and community, Wildflour Cottage Bakery is more than just a business; it's a way to share love and connection through every loaf, pastry, and treat - whether edible or not. (I'm looking at you, fresh cut flowers and beeswax ornaments!). Every item is made with intention, drawing from timeless techniques and seasonal ingredients to bring comfort and joy to every home and table. Wildflour Cottage Bakery is where the art of creating meets the heart of home.

Meet Our Baker

Baby Marcy

Sweet Marcy! That little one (pictured above) was so excited for that one chocolate cupcake. I swear this is when the baker in me was born.

When my first child was born 25 years ago, it was my dream to be the mom that made his birthday cakes from scratch. From there, it wasn't just cakes, but snacks, most meals, body care items, and medicines. Knowing what ingredients were in everything became my true north for navigating parenthood.

Baking was just the tip of the iceburg, and I have since fallen head over heels in love with all aspects of homesteading and making. I am a baker by trade but a maker at heart. And, given that our family went from 3 people to 9 people in 25 years, there have been many birthdays and special occasions to create for!

Being who I am and all the experiences it took to get here wouldn't have happened without all those birthdays to celebrate and all the meaningful ways we continue our learning and becoming together. It's a gift for all of us for me to do what I feel like I've been training for my whole life and have it provide us a livelihood.

I hope you enjoy the ride as much as we have. Thanks for coming along, and I really hope you love what I'll be baking up in the weeks and months ahead.
